This should have been in the Petz Q&A area.
In order to use a Pet in the game you must take the Pet file and copy (or cut) and paste the file into your Adopted Petz folder. This folder is located on your hard drive in your Programs list under UBI Soft or PF Magic. To find your Programs you can use Windows Explorer.
I don't know how much you know about computers, so I hope this helps. If not, you can always ask a more detailed question.
