Newborn Pets

It says on help that if you can't think of a name to call your newborn pets that you can name them after the mother or father but it won't let me do that so do you have that problem and if so how do you resolve it?

Someone has got to help me. The 6 week holiday is fast approaching and I don't think I would survive without my Petz. Hey I come up with something, maybe we could all trade pets, you know raise them up and swap them via email. That way we could breed mixed breeds from different owners. And don't you think that would be sweet, irrelevant. HELP!

If I can't think of a name for my Petz at the time of it's birth I usually wait till it's older and then I think up a name. When I have a litter and I don't know what to call them, I just call them 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d, then my 2nd litter would be called 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d.

You have to wait for your pet to leave it's mom before you change it's name again as my game always crashes if I try to change it again while it's still with it's mom.

Hey,yeah that would be sweet to trade dogz and catz i know i would like to do that just you would have to be REALLY carful because ppl can be pregnant dogy and send Viruses with there petz.. heh have a lil doggie with a virus attached to his lil collor..... sorry... getting off topic well bai bai

Nah, I know what you mean. Thanx 4 all ya help though, really helped me although I think this is something I'll have to take up with the staff at Ubi. Maybe they could help. You can always close down the program using CTRL+Alt+Delete, and then remove the father from the Adopted Petz folder and name one of the pffs[ring after him, although that would cause corruption. I have found some sites for naming pets, and they are especially good for naming breeding pairs. What do you think about Gracie and Gilligan, the name of my breeding German Shepherds.

;)You can make a list of names of both girls and boys ahead of time, that`s what I`m doing. My Jack Russel Jacky is pregnant with her first litter.

Thank you for all your help. Got a great website for the names of dogs, helps with litters, couple, singles, and country names. Go to Google and type in "A Zillion Names To Name Your Dog", as I can't remember the URL. If your Mum has a litter then just press CTRL+Alt+Delete and end the program. Next time you load it it will bring up the screen and you can name them. Ideal reall,y just visit the web page and because you've already seen how many pet and their gender you have, it's easier to name them. I am raising a couple of Labs, so they are due now. if your petz name is like say john you could name the first boy born john jr or john the second then the second born john the third and so on and so forth, and i htink that is what it means when it says name them after there parents
