Catz3 And Windows xp!! X-(

Hi firends,
I have catz3 and I was using it for windows 97, but now I changed my windows to xp and it can't be installed and I just receive the message that catz3 is only for windows 95 and 98.
I don't wanna buy a new version of catz, but i was wondering if anyone has any idea or kind of cheating trick or kinda solution for this problem.

try going under options on petz 3 at the top of the screen once the game loads up right away and turn off the sound
